The New World Chapter of the Guilde International des Fromagers is a not-for-profit representing the United States, Canada, Mexico and Australia was formed in January 2012 largely thanks to the efforts of Cathy Strange, David Gremmels, Will Studd and Jennifer Bridges. Other chapters are France, Germany, and Italy.
The Guilde Des Fromagers is a group of the most tenured, influential, well-connected, and essential individuals in the world of cheese. The Guilde’s roster (directory) essentially doubles as a who’s who of the artisanal cheese industry.
The members of the Guilde in the spirit and generosity of St Uguzon preserve the history and pass down the knowledge and passion of cheese and cheese making. St. Uguzon is known as the patron saint of cheese makers. The membership identifies and inducts industry professionals in its inductions throughout the year.
